Zoom H5 Handy Recorder

The Zoom H5 records four tracks simultaneously and uses Zoom's interchangeable mic capsule system, so creators can swap the supplied XYH-5 X/Y capsule for shotgun, mid-side or extra-input capsules. The XYH-5 handles up to 140 dB SPL, while shock-mounted mics, a rubberised housing and a low-cut filter keep handling noise and rumble down. Its low-noise preamps are the same as Zoom's H6, and Pre-Record, Auto-Record and a Backup-Record track recorded 12 dB lower help protect every take. Two XLR/TRS combo inputs with dedicated gain knobs accept mics and line sources, and the XYH-5 adds a 3.5 mm mic/line input. A Line Out with adjustable volume feeds a camera directly while you monitor on the separate headphone output. The H5 runs for about 10 hours on two AA batteries or indefinitely from the optional AD-17 adapter.
