The Shure SM7dB takes the legendary broadcast standard and equips it with a custom Shure-designed built-in active preamp using technology licensed from Cloud. Providing selectable boost levels of +18 dB or +28 dB, it delivers optimal signal strength to any standard audio interface without the need for an external inline preamplifier. If clean gain is not required, the integrated bypass switch allows the microphone to perform identically to the classic passive SM7B. Built to withstand demanding studio and broadcast environments, the SM7dB retains the warm, smooth frequency response and iconic rear-rejection cardioid pattern of the original. Rear-panel switches provide bass roll-off and mid-range presence boost EQ shaping, while internal air-suspension shock isolation and advanced electromagnetic shielding keep mechanical rumble and monitor hum completely out of your recordings.
