Allen & Heath DX168 Audio Expander

The DX168 is a high-performance portable expander designed to add remote I/O to Allen & Heath digital mixing systems, featuring 16 high-quality microphone preamps with independent phantom power indicators and 8 balanced XLR line outputs. Operating at a 96kHz sample rate, it ensures pristine audio fidelity while maintaining low latency for professional live sound and installation applications. Built for the rigors of the road, the unit is housed in a robust chassis with hard-wearing rubber bumpers and a sturdy carry handle for easy transport. It connects via a single Cat5e cable using the secure EtherCon port, with a second port available for daisy-chaining a second DX expander in Cascade mode or for redundant connections (redundancy on dLive and Avantis only, and not in Cascade mode), and requires no manual configuration as firmware updates are handled automatically by the connected mixer.
