The Allen & Heath AB1608 (AB168) is a portable 16-input, 8-output remote AudioRack for Allen & Heath digital mixing systems that use the 48kHz dSNAKE protocol, including the SQ, Qu, Avantis and GLD consoles and AHM audio matrix processors. It connects to the mixer over a single Cat5 cable up to 100m long, letting you place your I/O where it is needed most, whether on stage or in a remote room. An Expander port lets you add a second AB1608 or an AR0804, or connect an ME personal mixing system.
Built for the rigors of touring and live sound, the AB1608 is encased in a rugged chassis with rubber bumpers and a carry handle, and an optional rack kit is available for 19-inch installation. It is an essential tool for sound engineers looking to streamline their console setup by minimizing cable clutter and optimizing stage management.
