The AKG C1000 S multipurpose small-diaphragm condenser microphone is renowned for its exceptional versatility across studio recording, live sound reinforcement, and ENG/EFP video production. Featuring a rugged metal chassis with a gold-sputtered capsule housing and XLR pins, this microphone provides superior protection against humidity and mechanical wear. For maximum flexibility in the field, it can be powered by standard 9V to 52V phantom power or by two standard AA batteries for up to 120 hours of continuous operation. Equipped with integrated onboard controls, the C1000 S includes a switchable -10 dB preattenuation pad to manage high SPL sources and an 80 Hz bass-cut filter to eliminate unwanted low-frequency rumble. Included modular accessories, such as the PPC1000 polar pattern converter and the PB1000 presence boost adapter, allow users to switch pickup patterns between cardioid and hypercardioid while tailoring high-frequency clarity for speech and instruments.
